The Friends of Wallace Kennels (registered charity number 1019306) are committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. We are fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and as such are registered with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).

Information we collect
We may collect the below items of personal information. These are required so that we can respond to your enquiries, manage your membership, process your donations, apply for gift aid, and send marketing communications. We retain your information throughout your membership with the charity, and for 7 years after for gift aid processing.

  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Gift aid status
  • Pensioner status
  • Linked accounts, such as someone living at the same address who is also a member
  • Details you provide using the forms on our website.

We may additionally receive and store certain information automatically when you visit our website.  Examples include the IP address used to connect your device to the internet, your device type, and the operating system and browser your device is using.

Sharing your personal information
If you have provided a gift aid declaration, we will share your contact details with HMRC to claim back tax on your donations. Your information will also be shared with carefully vetted suppliers that assist us with our communications and membership management. We will never pass or sell your information to unconnected third parties.

Information shared with us
If you send us a donation using the Donate with JustGiving feature on our website, JustGiving will provide us with your name, house name/number and postcode, and the date and amount of your donation so that we can record your donation.  In addition, if you consented to us contacting you, JustGiving will provide us with your email address.

If you send us a donation using the CAF (Charities Aid Foundation) website, CAF will provide us with a donation report detailing your name, donation amount and any information you consented to sharing.

Marketing communications
We would like to send you marketing communications to keep you informed of our latest news and to invite you to any upcoming events. In compliance with GDPR, we will not add you to any contact lists for marketing communications unless you have given us your explicit consent to do so. You can update your communication preferences at any time by contacting us using the details shown below.
